REALLY? We have a tartan?

A RAINY wet Sunday and looks like we are gonna get LOTS and LOTS of rain. The massive piles of snow will surely shrink. It’s 4 degrees today and after all the rain the temps are supposed drop to -20 by Monday night. Could be a mess…

Before Christmas on a cold Sunday James was putting on his new long pea coat and I asked him if he had a really nice scarf to wear with it. He said he did. He had a few but he had a nice authentic tartan one he bought when he was in Scotland. It was our family tartan. WHAT? What do you mean our family tartan? I didn’t know we had a family tartan.

I LOVE tartan prints. I especially LOVE the blue Nova Scotia tartan ( love it more since living away) and I have been picking up the odd few pieces. Mom even made me some beautiful things for my Birthday for my dining room table. You’ve seen it in some pictures in my blog.

Anyway back to “our family tartan” It is beautiful!! It is a Christmasy looking tartan and is from the Clan Mac Gregor. Now that I know this, I’ll be on the look out for this tartan too…to use in my decorating, and maybe even pick up a scarf!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
