Dad’s Tools, Dad’s Rules

Saturdays in Dad’s Garage.

Saturday is a day the boys in my family like doing their own work on their vehicles. It not only saves them money, but they just plain enjoy tinkering.

I think Andrew was a little worried when David overhauled the garage that it wouldn’t be the same. That they wouldn’t be able to “mess it up” because it was just too clean. NOT so!

They have been having lots of fun. Even this winter.

David realized that he could easily wash his car in the garage in bad weather. He tried it because the car was so dirty traveling on the messy roads and it was too cold outside, and the car wash bays in our area were a mess that he didn’t want to go there. He’s also changed the oil in the car.

A couple weekends ago Andrew was having fun playing in the snow in his truck and…got stuck! When he was able to get out there was so much snow underneath that he brought it down to the garage to thaw out just to make sure he didn’t do any damage. So MUCH WATER and SNOW mess but it cleaned up quite quickly and no damage to his truck. Andrew also stops in to  change the oil.

It’s a tight fit BUT Andrew can fit his big truck in the garage…even with the motor bike in there!

They have lots of fun. BOYS and THEIR TOYS! 😛

PS~ Today though Andrew is not in the garage or playing with his toys. All this snow has not been great for Andrew & Kristina’s roof. And with heavy and lots of rain expected tomorrow… 😥

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
