A Picturesque Saturday

As I sat enjoying my coffee this morning, waking up…the light snow fluffies started falling again.

We’ve had a lot of snow the last couple weeks!

I love the snow. I REALLY do. It is so beautiful especially if you can stay home and enjoy it and not be out on the roads.

I remember being in Brazil in Winter. It was so nice for that one year not to even worry about it. BUT, oh how I missed the snow. In China, it was COLD!!!!! It didn’t snow very much, no great amounts like here. But I always welcomed the snow there too because in a dirty, polluted, city of 8 million, snow would clean things up for a day or so.

Now I understand many cities in the Maritimes have had too much!! Too much causes problems that make you hate the white stuff, hate to hear the next forecast, and just wish we would never have snow. I sympathize, I do. But really it’s a beautiful thing to live in a clean country where you can really enjoy four seasons.

Well, It’s Saturday again, weeks are going fast and soon it will be Spring. But with that comes different things. It is really true” …to everything there is a season”

But because it is Saturday, and David & I have a little more time, after doing a few  things this morning at home we went to the city.

On the way we made 2 stops.

First: Mahone Bay (because I needed treats for Abby, but also I wanted a few pictures of this colourful town in the snow)

Second: Peggy’s Cove ( because this picturesque spot is so beautiful even in the Winter and can you believe, I have never been in Winter)

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
