And Speaking of weather! WHOA!!!!! He was right! Oh ya baby! Nova Scotia was blasted with the worst snowstorm of the season. The whole province was RED with MAJOR snowstorm warning. A fierce winter storm with hurricane winds slammed the east coast. It is being called winter storm Juno. 30 cm of snow with 110km hurricane force winds and then freezing rain. Visibility is very poor because the snow is light and blowing everywhere. They are expecting it to be at least a 24 hour storm.

But honestly, who doesn’t LOVE a good snowstorm. I love it!!( I’m a happy girl)

IMG_7835 Schools closed, stores closed, offices closed ( well David had to work) but James was off because the bank and school was closed and Laura for the first time got a snow day from the drug store. So as long as the power stays on with these crazy high winds, we are cozy inside and enjoying it. Laura napping, James doing school and me baking lots of goodies.

Here are a few pics!

Early this morning when it was starting…

He likes it so much…he even snow blows the lawn! hahaIMG_3141Not sure if that is all before this storm is considered officially over. As I get this entry ready to post, it’s now freezing rain and still windy. What and how much more we will get, who knows? BUT, everyone is home safe and we are cozy warm and soon we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner together, everyone home tonight.

I’m thankful…I LOVE storm days! ( Oh, and the forecast is another storm on the way for Friday)

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
