I’m walking on sunshine

Monday ( after the snow/rain storm on Sunday) is was so SUNNY!!! The sun was laying in my living room window and I just wanted to sit all morning basking in the warmth and brightness. ( It was even +6 degrees) Yesterday the temperature dropped to a FREEZING -13 with a windchill of -26. Brrrr!!!!! And this morning it’s COLD and GREY!! CrAzY temperatures, no wonder everyone is sick.

So…EVERYONE needs a little Vitamin D, right?… and seeing as we are going south in a couple months and I want to get a little color because I am so pastey white ( which was REALLY great when I was living in China but not so much in Canada or southern countries)… I’m starting now! Yep, Just once a week( maybe twice if it’s really cold out) for a few minutes. It is just so….relaxing and puts me in a happy place in the winter!

PS~ Here’s a shout out to Southern Exposure Tanning Studio. They are by far the best place locally to get your tan on. ( And I do have some knowledge in this area after working at a tanning studio for 7 years before going on expat)  Natasha and her staff are super friendly and helpful, the studio is clean and comfortable and the beds are wonderful. It makes for a great little escape in your week (or day) And it’s one I look forward to!

My new favourite… the stand up bed. Just 10 minutes or less! You’re in and out SUPER FAST and you just feel TERRIFIC!!!

PS~ I’m not the only one who likes a little sunshine in her morning.

Ok so as much as I am REALLY, I mean REALLY missing China these days and all the activities and festivals we did there in the Winter…

A few minutes in a sun bed is one little escape I couldn’t do…and I guess I am liking it this year!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
