Christmas came early…AGAIN!!!

Yay!!! A Winter Vacay is on my calendar for 2015!

All it takes is for me to hear that David is cold and minding this cold and I take the initiative to start searching tropical destination vacations. There are so many options!

David’s parents have been going South for a few years and we have been wanting to see their place and the surrounding area but also we kinda think Florida is not quite warm enough for us. We want to go just a little bit further South.

We are not so sure we are “spend a whole week at a resort” people just yet. We get bored easily just doing pool and beach everyday because we love to see and explore the areas we are in!

So…after sending off a couple emails and researching some different options. We are doing a combination!

We LOVE, ABSOLUTELY LOVE cruising since the very first time we did one. I looked at a few options early in the year because we had a specific destination in mind for our next cruise, BUT the only dates for that particular one  was too soon after Christmas so we thought we wouldn’t bother cruising this year. BUT then I looked at resorts and then I looked at our cruise pics, and looked some more, and I thought about our past cruises. They were some of our most relaxed and enjoyable times away. So, then I looked at the combination of visiting David’s parents in Florida and then cruising before or after, and… that’s what we decided!!! Yay! I am actually quite excited!

David booked his vacation and then came home and we booked our cruise and flights. It’s DONE!!!

Now all that’s left is the planning…what is a MUST see in Tampa and Cortez area in Florida, and what excursions to do on our cruise. We are going back to the Western Caribbean. The first ports we did on our very first cruise. I am excited and can’t wait!!

So…it’s Anna Maria Island FOR SURE!

and NCL Western Caribbean out of Tampa with port stops in Honduras, Belize and Mexico.

So…needless to say, I am in my happy place today ( LOVE looking, planning and BOOKING travel) and David will get to thaw out a bit in the middle of our cold Canadian winter 😀 It’s a Win, Win as far as I’m concerned! lol

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
