Curry Chicken from Japan ( a taste that he misses from his 8 months living there)

My kitchen seriously smelled like Asia for two evenings. It was wonderful. Been thinking about friends this week. Chinese friends, Brazil friends, Expat friends. Friends that have just returned home and are getting settled again( it’s a lot of work) and friends that are finished assignments and coming home this week or next ( it’s so very sad to say goodbye)  I again am so thankful for all the experiences we had and am happy we know how to cook a few dishes. Maybe just a small thing BUT  yet huge because that way when we are missing people and food and life there…we can cook! haha ( It’s great therapy)

PS~ The only food I REALLY miss from Brazil is the Lime Cheesecake from the Hippie Market in Rio. Oh, and maybe the grilled mozzarella cheese on the beach. But that tasty treat takes a little more work and will be an experiment for another day… 😛

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
