It’s trick… OR TREAT night!

The one night a year that parents either LOVE or DREAD! It’s treat night when kids NEED a CoOL costume and collect MASSIVE amounts of candy and chocolate and chips and sugary treats!!! lol

I like to do up little treat bags, it’s fun and there are so many options. I asked a neighbour how many kids she got at the door last year and she said over 100. Whoa! There must be a lot more kids in the neighbourhood in the last few years!! So…treat bags and chips it is!

TRICK or TREAT! Hope you had fun tonight!

Lots of “characters” around today … Haha…Oh David! 😀

I have to include Andrew & Kristina’s pic from their Halloween party last weekend. Their costumes are always so cool!

And some familiar characters at our front door for treats!

What a nice evening for trick or treating. It was a busy night in our neighbourhood and at 9:15pm we shut off our lights. We had 142 kids (+ 2 interesting characters) and loved seeing all the little ones and they were so polite!! Abby loved them and waited at the top of the steps before rushing out to greet them, peek in their treat bags and pails, and lick the occasional hand!

Thank you all who voted. The WINNER of the Pumpkin Carving Contest is…Jon’s pumpkin. EVERYONE likes the traditional Jack-o-lantern! I do too!!

(Jon gets a bag of treats and a Tim’s GC)

James and Jon went swimming at a local hotel tonight. They were all decked out with pumpkins. How cool!!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
