It Just goes away…

It’s MONDAY and it’s JUNK day along the South Shore! One of two extra collection garbage days for all the JUNK people have that they don’t need, that’s broken or that they just want to get rid of. There is one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

I am so amused on JUNK day because when you put your things to the curb, it just magically disappears ( especially if there’s anything good) before the garbage truck can even pick it up. No matter where you go on JUNK day ( actually the night before) people are driving by slowly and stop to go through your garbage. There are some that even go around with trailers and netting …and flashlights. I guess they like to collect the scrap metal and get a few bucks.

Do people do this in other provinces in Canada?

Glad to be rid of more JUNK!!!! A great way to start a new week.

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
