Getting ready for…WINTER?

Yes, we are!

The Farmers’ Almanac, the 198 year old publication, that many folk including my parents refer to when checking out the forecast officially goes on sale this week for the 2014/15 season. The publication correctly predicted the past nasty winter and the editors of the publication are predicting more of the same for the coming winter season.

MORE frigid and bitter cold conditions! But just maybe not for Atlantic Canada.

The almanac also contains gardening tips, trivia, jokes and natural remedies But it’s the weather headlines that EVERYONE looks at and talks about!

We were in China last winter and I KNOW about cold and I don’t mind it one bit. I love to dress up warm and I have the gear for it so I am prepared but it’s the snowstorm after snowstorm every week the same that I am NOT used to. I’m not sure if the above average snow fall amounts are in the forecast or not but David was feeling just a little bit concerned about early mornings getting to work should the same amount of snow fall this coming winter.

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
