A Shopping and Starbucks Kinda Day

On Sunday at our Chinese Dinner, Tina saw our large Chinese vases and thought they were so beautiful and a pair of vases would be nice to have. Problem was…their shipment has already gone to Canada. No problem Tina, you can send it in our shipment if you want a pair. Tina & Glen talked it over and decided they would like to, so today David & I took Tina & Olivia shopping.( Glen was sleeping for night shift)

The place we got ours was closed today probably because it started off a little rainy and it’s a small shop. So we went to the vase shop in Wuai. Tina loved the traditional blue and white ones that I do. We looked at all the options there and went to another shop close to Nan Er that had the same vases we bought, as well as other choices. She found the perfect pair to fit her decor at home. We also went splits on a small pair that came apart to give 2 pieces. They’re so beautiful. Tina is not a shopper by nature but when she does shop, she knows exactly what she wants! We even stopped by Bei Se to pick up some Chinese flower pots.

Oh and David really liked this plate, actually he liked the plate stand!

Lots of fun shopping with these girls and you know it’s a good day when you can get to Starbucks! I diverted from my usual black coffee to this tasty treat like Olivia’s. Raspberry Cheesecake Frappuccino…Soooo delicious!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
