Everyday All day

There are two groups of retired folk as far as I can tell. Those that like to fish and fly kites and those that like to play cards and chess. I don’t know maybe they do everything.

It is so interesting to watch from various places. In the parks is the MOST common place to find these fellas and gals that like to socialize and keep their mind busy and entertained. What I can’t believe is for how long the do it.

Take my veggie guy for instance. He’s got a veggie stand just outside our main square and just outside my apartment building, and this year seems like everyday, all day long there is a game going on. It’s great for him, beats the boredom of minding his shop all day in between customers. When someone comes to purchases veggies, he just gets up and looks after them, then it’s right back to playing.

Lots of games…

And then there’s the ladies who like to knit and crochet…

I love hanging out at these places and just watching. It’s so different from what we are used  to. I think this is GREAT!!!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
