We can FINALLY go!!!!!!!!!

YES!!!! I am so excited!! A Chinese wedding that we are able to attend! It’s actually more of a wedding dinner for friends and colleagues who couldn’t attend the out of city wedding last weekend. But that’s OK! Here is the invitation, we can go this time.

During our two times in China we have been invited to weddings of David’s Chinese colleagues and every one we have been on a home trip to Canada or traveling in Asia somewhere. Invitations are usually given at a moments notice and David & I are planners so we usually have our days off, holidays and vacation time booked. Last Sunday was this particular wedding and we had tickets booked to be in Beijing with James when the invitation came.

Liu Fuzhi is a cute little Chinese guy with such a sweet personality that I met at a dinner back when we first arrived in July. He is Beth’s trainee and David works with him depending on what shift he is working. Last month David said Liu Fuzhi was getting married and we are invited. He also brought home some Wedding pics to show me. Chinese couples get their wedding pics done before the wedding so they are on display at the reception. And they go all out on photos. Here is a little peak… I LOVE them!

74.5x36-1 74.5x36-7 55.5x27-4

Actually they go all out on their wedding too. I really wished we could have went last weekend. I knew a little of what to expect today and it was so nice to be there in person to congratulate this sweet couple as they begin their life together.

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
