The season to FISH

I finally got to the park for a short walk. It’s sooooo beautiful and warm with a slight breeze. And lots of “flower snow” flying around.

This is the season for fishing! The river is lined with fishermen. Young and old alike they are parked there with their fishing rods, bicycles nearby and are spending a few hours enjoying fishing.

One particular group interested me and so I stepped right in there and watched…and took pics! It surprises me how much bolder I’ve become going in to a group of all Chinese by myself. They just grin as I snap my pics and I smile back. It was a successful day for these guys, 4 large fish! I am not sure what kind and even more not sure if I would want to eat it coming out of the polluted river.

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
