What is Spring Fever with 3 boys in the family?

Do you know what Spring season brings especially in a household of 3 boys?

And for the record right now, It’s 2 down 1 to go.

Andrew and Kristina traded in their lease for a new 2014 Elantra  this week. They still have their big hemi truck but it was time to trade in the car for something new.

James traded in his new 2013 Ford Fiesta for a 2010 VW Golf. A step back for James, maybe? But he wants to get his student loan paid off and have less debt, good decision I think!

Where does this  need to go car shopping come from when the weather gets nice?  I know my Dad used to be this way and now my boys are so much like their Dad…David has been on the hunt for a car too.  He’s tired of getting a rental every time we come home. And besides it’s Spring and don’t guys just “NEED” to go car browsing and shopping just like girls love new outfits for Spring! lol

So…the question is, What do we buy? We really liked the Volvo C 30 we rented a couple times and thought it might be a great little run around town car for us. We know it’s great on the highway because that’s the car we rented when we drove to Hartland, NB last Spring for James’ graduation.

This is what we are thinking? Hmm…

We spent the day just looking. What do we buy? Do we buy a car now to sit in our garage or do we wait?  It’s just two of us most of the time so do we need something big? Do we get an SUV or a car? I really like Jeep Cherokee  and Grand Cherokees. BUT, a car is more practical and easy on gas, most of the time. Besides I really think I would like to eventually get a truck as a second vehicle.

We took out a Hyundai for fun…

And tried out a few jeeps…

Then there’s the 1 series BMW…

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
