Where my thoughts have been…

Sorry my posts haven’t been very creative or detailed the last few days or so but my mind has been preoccupied…many things…( and I REALLY haven’t felt like writing)

One thing I will share and I would appreciate your prayers..

My Chinese friends Mother was rushed to hospital by ambulance on Friday. She is an 84 year old sweet lady( we met her during Spring Festival). She has heart failure among other issues and she has been touch and go in ICU all weekend. Things are a bit better today but the whole family have been with her since Friday. Hospitals, the way care is handled, and the role the family plays when someone is in ICU is much different than I am used to in Canada. My friends are so kind to give me updates, they know I am concerned, but I wish so much I could do something, I wish I could be there, I wish I could sit with them, I wish I could talk to her, I even wish I could say some things… ( important things I believe, and would like to share)

She has been on my mind so much, So I pray! And my heart and thoughts are with this dear lady and her four children and families.

Made some comfort food today… Homemade donair pizza, garlic cheese fingers, donair sauce and chocolate milk. Living in China you have to improvise a bit to do some basic cooking, even more so when it is a specialty taste from home. But it was great and just what I needed…til I get home next week!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
