The Fall of Saigon was the capture of Saigon city, the capital of South Vietnam by the People’s Army of Vietnam and the Viet Cong on April 30, 1975. This event marked the end of the Vietnam War and the start of a transition period leading to the reunification of Vietnam into a Socialist Republic governed by the Communist Party. So much history in this city now called Ho chi Minh city. When I said I was going to Vietnam my Father was “What?” He of course remembers too well the history of this city. Not to worry Daddy, I have my own personal detail of body guards while I am in Saigon, haha 🙂
I can’t believe I have opportunity to travel to these places to see face to face for myself the history…
This is not another Vietnam war post but rather some pics around Ho Chi Minh (Old Saigon)
Well Ho Chi Minh city…it’s been FABULOUS!
It’s back to Shenyang on the overnight flight tonight!
