Deck the Halls

Time to get the decorations up! Forget sleep, it’s Christmas. Doesn’t matter that it’s a major storm today. We arrived late in Halifax last night/early morning and drove home and it was about 5am when I got to bed this morning. Up at 8am and ready to get at it!

James, David & I decorated the outside and while the boys snowplowed and shoveled, I cleaned and decorated the inside.

This evening when Andrew, Kristina & Hemi came we had dinner ( yay, all the kids were home) and then we decorated the tree!

So…1st day home, LOTS accomplished!!! House is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Maybe not as much as I normally would do but just enough this year. Tomorrow we will run in to the city and pick up our car rental and do a little shopping.

Lots to do! NO time for sleep today but very soon…

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
