Last Supper

Top of the world! Well actually, a nice restaurant with a nice view of Shenyang!

Tonight is Tricia & Alan’s last evening in Shenyang, China. We had a last supper with them and good friends Pete & Robin at one of the 9 restaurants at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Sunday night we enjoyed Il Forno, the Italian restaurant there, and tonight we are back again!  It really is a nice place to celebrate…um NOT celebrate tonight… but you know…to have a VERY nice dinner. That is what we wanted to do tonight.

It’s always so sad to say goodbye. For the RECORD, I DO NOT LIKE GOODBYES!!!! Tonight was ok, actually it was very nice. The view was great, the food was delicious, the desserts amazing and our favorites, the company wonderful and we had a lot of laughs as Tricia had pics and video evidence of her trying to complete the list David left on her facebook wall of the last things she should do before leaving China. (She put it out there for suggestions and he gave her a list) What a hoot! I can’t believe she did almost everything!!

We will definitely miss them, and are so VERY thankful for the great times and memories!!!

Double whammy today…because I also had to say goodbye to my little Xiao Ting. She is no longer and it makes me sad. My boy turtle, Xiao Wei, is gonna be so lonely BUT he has already taken over the rock!

Nite all! I think I am ready for sleep!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
