It’s Getting Colder…

We’ve been a little spoiled this month. It hasn’t been as cold as it usually is for November and since the government heat, our infloor heating went on, we’ve been opening windows to cool the apartment off and also adjusting the valves to turn the heat down as much as we can. BUT on the weekend the weather shifted again. AND it’s getting colder! And this week, it’s been COLDER!

I think I’ve mentioned before that the Chinese people have been wearing their long underwear since September and my friends keep insisting that I MUST dress warmer. “It is cold now” they say. Haha 😀 Well, it is getting colder now and I think it will be a rude awakening. David & I were out to some markets yesterday and he wondered how I liked the cold. Yes, sweetie It’s a far cry from Brazil. But I like to wear boots and coats and hats and scarves and mitts. NO, I don’t care for the bitter cold and yes this winter will be brutle I think. At least we weren’t the first to get snow…Nova Scotia had a little bit before us and Kentucky and Niagara Falls…

TODAY, I got out my winter coat when I went to the park. Yes, it was cold BUT I enjoyed a few hours exploring a new area of Beiling park.  I didn’t realize these little gems were tucked away here. This park is really huge and next to WuliHe it is my favorite park. And the sky was actually blue today ( and a skim of ice on the lake)

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
