Zhè shì shénme?

What is it?
They have some interesting tools/gagets in China. This particular one is very useful when you live on the 16th story and want to do a little window washing!
The last couple days I have watched some Chinese neighbors cleaning their windows. It’s getting kinda cold in Shenyang and I figured before it gets too cold we better try out this new tool and just see how good it works.
David didn’t like the idea of climbing on window ledges or doing acrobatics out the window this high up just so we can have clean windows so we used this little magnetic window washing gadget!
So…what you do is put it in water and put the one half that is tied to a string outside ( make sure you have the string securely around your wrist) and then match up the other half on the inside and then snap the magnets in place. Then it’s quite simple you just move the device back and forth cleaning the window. And…the great part is that a string is attached for the times you need to un clamp the magnets or if you lose it out the window. haha 😀
We had some fun…
It works great and now I have nice clean windows again to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I am a happy girl 🙂

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
