If you read my blog posts you will know that on Wednesday our driver showed up with a “SPECIAL DELIVERY” of crabs. 7 of them… Wang smiled and said “Happy Mid Autumn Festival!
We figured out the way to look after these crabs was to steam them. Wang sent home an insert that I could put in my wok and steam them that way. 20 minutes on their backs is all it takes. Interesting! I was a little nervous to try them although I’ve eaten these kind of crabs raw here in China and cooked would have to be better, right? They turned out REALLY good, delicious…not a lot of meat but very delicious and MUCH better than eating them raw!
