The BEST of Singapore

Ground-breaking architecture, ethnically- diverse population and bold ambitions, Singapore has raised the stakes for booming cities worldwide. The “little red dot” as Singapore is known, was founded as a British trading colony in 1819, is actually the world’s fourth-leading financial center and it’s port is one of the five busiest in the world.

Singapore is a small country on a small island, but with just over five million people it is a fairly crowded city, second only to Monaco as the world’s most densely populated country. Unlike many other densely populated countries, Singapore – with more than 50% of its area covered by greenery and with over 50 major parks and 4 nature reserves – is an enchanting garden city. Singapore is a VERY safe city, hardly any police around. This is understandable when serious crime in Singapore is punishable with death.

I absolutely LOVED Singapore and could easily visit here again…somehow 4 days was just not enough!

More of our favorite photos in no particular order…

And now it’s back from vacay and back to our regular routine but then really…living in China, there’s nothing routine!

Have a great week!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
