2nd Check!

This is the week, HOPEFULLY, we will move to our apartment! Lots of things have been done. Michelin and Kelt have been in for a 1st check, air conditioning has been installed and the apartment has been cleaned. Today was the 2nd check at 2pm and David and I got to go! The Kelt team were there putting in the items that are required by Michelin. The bedding they chose actually goes quite well with the bedroom decor that I won’t be in a panic to get our shipment with my own things. The large screen TV has been installed, it is a 3D LG TV so that will be fun. Renee( apartment owner) actually showed us that the TV has internet and there is a really cool mouse that goes with it. A new toy for David. They bought an oven, a small one so no turkey for thanksgiving but it does have a rotisserie so rotisserie might be on the menu this year . All the windows have been cleaned inside and out so the view is amazing.I am sooooooooooo excited. I LOVE the area where we will live….the greenery and flowers in the courtyards ( I just WISH the fountains were working!!) and I can’t wait to get back to the park by the river. It has been nice and convenient in the downtown core BUT I can’t wait to get to Venice.

If all goes according to plan, we do a FINAL check and get the keys on Wednesday at 4pm. A little bit late to move in…SO looks like move in will be Friday!!

Here are a few pics from today:

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
