Scooter Fever!

David loves bikes. He has owned a few of them through the years and his dream when we finish expat life is to get a really nice bike again. When we arrived in Shenyang he found out a few of our friends have bought scooters this time and love them for getting through the crazy traffic, seeing some of the little out of the way streets, and having their independence. A brand new scooter is really inexpensive here and when we are moved in to our permanent apartment, I can see we will be doing some scooter shopping!

Tonight a large group of us, David’s co-workers from Michelin. went to Casey’s an AWESOME restaurant managed by a super friendly Canadian guy from Vancouver who KNOWS great Canadian food. Beth and Chris wanted to treat their Chinese trainees to an AUTHENTIC Canadian meal so burgers it was! Casey’s has the BEST burgers in Shenyang! It was fun to watch these Chinese kids enjoy a burger for the very first time!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
