CANADA DAY 2013~ Celebrating in Shenyang, China

We are proud Canadians! We LOVE our country!

Even more so after traveling and living in other countries. So on Canada Day no matter where we are, we proudly wear the red and white and display our flag…somewhere.

Canada Day 2013 is being celebrated in Shenyang, China! A dreary, rainy day here today.

Canada Day falls on a Monday, so Sunday afternoon David’s sister and husband hosted a Canada Day BBQ at their complex for a few Canadians. Even though we were exhausted after just arriving, it was a LOT of FUN!!! And the highlight…our previous driver Mr. Wan and his wife were there!!!! We’ve missed them and LOVE them! They are are China family 🙂

So nice to see our friends Curt & Wanda. Wanda, I am FINALLY back!

A great bunch of Canadians!!

A BBQ in the park. Guys are cooking

Lots of Food & Fun.

And the highlight of the event… our previous driver and his wife, Mr Wan!!

Today is a busy day. We are looking at apartments to see what choices are available this time around. I won’t take up space in this blog with that…It will be a whole other post so you can give me your comments and opinions too! I really need your help, I am torn between my options.

After our apartment search there was still some time for a nap ( David napped) and Canada Day celebrations!

A YUMMY "red" dessert :)

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
