Christmas Shopping The Easy Way

Many people find this time of year VERY stressful!!! Christmas Shopping and Gift buying is one of the reasons. Whether the lack of money or resources, along with the pressure to buy then add in the fact that the stores and malls are CrAzy this time of year…yeah maybe one could be stressed!

I have ALWAYS loved Christmas shopping! Fortunately I have been blessed beyond measure and have always been able to afford gifts for my family and close friends and I love the “hustle and bustle” of the season. I enjoy being out in all the busyness…well that is as long as they have what I am looking for…and it isn’t SOLD OUT!! 🙂

This year we will arrive home December 21st and will have just a few days to clean, shop for gifts, clean, shop for food, clean, cook & bake, wrap presents, clean, and make sure everything is ready for our Christmas celebration with family. Did I mention clean? Haha I am just being funny…I know our daughter Laura will have things all cleaned and the house looking lovely!

BUT I don’t want to be rushed with the whole Christmas shopping thing. So…this week in the evenings David & I have been sitting in the coziness of our apartment or on the balcony in balmy topical temperatures… with the beauty of the Christmas lights, a cup of hot apple cider, Michael Buble’s Christmas album playing, and our computers on our lap and we are shopping!! That’s right, shopping!

We are enjoying thinking of things for our family and doing some of our shopping that way. No stress, no pressure, just pure enjoyment! And we’ll still have a few things to pick up in Brazil and home in the stores but most of our packages will have arrived and be waiting for us when we are in Canada and then all that will be left will be the wrapping!!

Bom Dia, Amigas! Only 2 days left in November 🙂

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
