ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!

There has been one thing after another after another living in Brazil and on Friday yet again another notice was posted!

The just of what it says is that there are electrical problems in the pool area that they will repair within 60 days and a leak in the garage from the pool area so therefore the pool is CLOSED indefinitely!!!! UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHH!!!

For those of you who have been looking at Brazil weather you know that now is NOT the time to be without a pool! We have been continually waiting since April and waiting and waiting… ALWAYS excuses and promises.

Well, ENOUGH is ENOUGH!! Some of our neighbors were having a BBQ in the common area, it was so hot yesterday, and they decided to jump the fence!! Next thing we knew a few guys and their kids were jumping in the pool! Hooting and hollering and laughing, and joking to all the neighbors that were watching from their balconies that …”Ya,the pool doesn’t work…really?” They continued to swim there the rest of the afternoon and evening, even when it got dark. It will be interesting to see what notice goes up now! But really, they have had plenty of time to get this pool ready! Because now…it’s HOT!!!

It’s HOT out there all ready this morning! David is working 4-12 this week so we are going to take our paperwork into SESI to schedule a medical( you need a medical to join any clubs or pools here) so we can get a membership for the pool there. It is about a block from our condo and since our pool won’t be ready any time soon, we need a place to cool off! Here’s to a new week!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
