It’s Monday

Do you know what day of the week it is? It’s MONDAY! The day when James and DJ, my youngest son and his best friend, post their weekly video from Japan! I love Mondays now. You see I am usually dragging a little from the weekend, not because I am out all hours, but because Saturday and Sunday David and I try to hit the roads exploring some new place and by the time Monday morning comes I just want to pull the covers up and stay in bed, but here in Brazil it is usually too hot for that so up I get.

Now that I know there will be a video post ready Monday morning ( because it is 11 hours ahead of us in Japan) when my eyes open, I get right up and have my favorite coffee with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla and watch the LATEST video! Ohhh.. it makes me laugh and it is such a great way to start a week…with a good chuckle and catching up with the boys in Japan. They usually highlight their week a bit and explain a new word they’ve learned and it’s all done in a light- hearted, humorous way…well you just have to know James and DJ to know what I mean.

Anyway, I am grabbing my coffee and waking up…you guessed it, watching the weekly video!

Hey, Check it out!

And NO James, I DO NOT look like Anne of Green Gables, but your Dad IS hot!! Haha 🙂

Love & Prayers to the Somers family!! You have been in our prayers, on our minds and in our hearts since we heard the news. We are definitely praying with you from Brazil!

Have a GREAT Monday everyone!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
