Great Expectations!

The 2012 Olympics are underway in London and it is always an exciting time. This year is especially true for Bridgewater, NS watching as our very own local gal, Jenna Martin will be competing in the 400m event! Run Jenna Run! We are so glad you’re living the dream, we are very proud of you, and we wish you well!!

Not only are we following the Canadian teams this year but we are a little bit partial to the Brazil and China favorites…

Good Things Predicted For Brazil!

Neymar Will Lead Brazil to First-Ever Gold Medal at 2012 Olympics

Neymar- Brazil’s # 11

If you get chance check out the soccer( or football) Neymar, Brazil’s # 11 has talent! We have been following him since we’ve been living in Brazil. He plays on the Santos team as well as the Brazilian National team, and at only 19 years old, he is predicted as the next Pele.  A reporter is quoted as saying, ” This loaded Brazilian team will capture the country’s first gold medal in soccer, and Neymar will be the biggest reason for their success.” We will be watching for sure!

And…after living in China for a year we realize they have some of the World’s best athletes. After all Chinese are perfectionists, and after only a day China is already leading with gold medals, not surprising!

Wang wins gold
Siling wins China’s first Gold Medal at London 2012

It will be hard keeping up to everything we want to watch, especially with the limited coverage we have. But we’ll be watching…especially for that Bridgewater girl on August 3!

Hope you’re enjoying the weekend!

Adventure For Two

I am from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm back from traveling with my husband on an expat assignment to foreign lands. 2011-2012 we were in Shenyang, China. Spring 2012- Spring 2013 we were in Resende,RJ Brazil then back to Shenyang, China in July 2013 until the end of July 2014. Expat life WAS amazing! Adventure abounds no matter where we travel to. We really enjoyed the amazing opportunity to live and experience culture and tradition in these places. BUT now we are finished and adjusting to life in our small town in Canada. Our days of travel and adventure are not over.
